V8 Race Car

from Thames & Kosmos

$39.95

A build it yourself model car with a working four speed manual gearbox, reverse and neutral included. As each piece snaps together, the builder uncovers how steering, shock absorbers and a differential actually work, and the V8 engine at the front shows its crankshaft, pistons and exhaust fan moving. A 40 page colour manual explains the engineering as you go. Aimed at ages 10 and up, it suits a curious son, daughter or grown up car fan, and gives a birthday or Christmas morning an afternoon of making.
