How to drop a hint
Spotted something you love? Save it to your Hints from any shop without leaving the page. No more screenshots. No more links lost across five group chats.
On your phone
iPhone
- 1Open any shop app or website. ASOS, Amazon, Vinted, Etsy, Instagram, Safari. Anywhere you spot something you love.
- 2Tap Share. It looks like a square with an arrow pointing up. In some apps it's inside the ••• menu.
- 3Tap HintDrop. Can't see it? Scroll the row of apps to the end and tap More. Tap Edit, then the green + next to HintDrop, so it's always there next time.
- 4Pick a list and drop it. It lands straight in your Hints, where the people who buy for you can see it.
Android
- 1Open any shop app or website. ASOS, Amazon, Vinted, Etsy, Instagram, Chrome. Anywhere you spot something you love.
- 2Tap Share. It looks like three dots joined by lines. In some apps it's inside the â‹® menu.
- 3Tap HintDrop. Can't see it? Scroll the list of apps. On most phones you can press and hold HintDrop and tap Pin, so it's always first next time.
- 4Pick a list and drop it. It lands straight in your Hints, where the people who buy for you can see it.
You'll need the free HintDrop app on your phone for HintDrop to show up when you tap Share.
On a computer
- 1Add the HintDrop button to your browser. Free for Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Pick yours below.
- 2Pin it so it's always in view. In Chrome and Edge, click the jigsaw piece at the top right, then the pin next to HintDrop.
- 3Open any product page and click HintDrop. The name, picture and price come with it, from any shop.
- 4Pick a list and drop it. It lands straight in your Hints, on your phone too.
Or paste a link
Copy the link to any product, open Hints and paste it into the box at the top. We'll fill in the name, photo and price for you.
